Case Study - Top 10 Ranking in Four Days - How We Compare to the Best-Rated SEO Companies
If you wonder if Sapphire SEO Solutions can rank your content, check out our latest success story!
We started working with a new client just last week, and we began the process of getting their website ranked.
Like most SEO companies, we use the process of search engine optimization to get our clients' websites ranking on search engines.
Though every SEO agency has its own way of doing things, in general, all of the SEO strategies that we use can depend on the type of company we are working with, the goals they have for the business, and what type of results they want to receive.
In this case, we are working with a company that is in the digital marketing industry, though it has digital marketing services that are different than what we offer at Sapphire SEO Solutions.
Specifically, they do more web development and paid media, whereas we focus more on social media marketing, local SEO, technical SEO, improving search engine rankings, and helping our clients create a digital marketing strategy that is specific to their needs.
With this particular client, in addition to working on the content of the website, we were also doing the design.
In some cases, it's easier for SEO to start from scratch instead of with an existing website, but either way, it's always exciting when we can work with a new client and take on the challenge of ranking their site.
Keep reading to find out more about the digital marketing solutions we are using, which has almost immediately helped this client start ranking on Google in a matter of days.
This is something that other search engine optimization agencies just can't do.
Our search engine optimization company can and does!
About the Client
The client we are working with is rebranding, and in the process, they needed a new website, new web pages, social media management, and blog posts.
As our design team got to work with the website creation, our SEO team began the process of doing keyword research for the client. Since they are a company that is re-branding and adding more services, we took the content they had previously, which was ranking well, re-branded it for them, and posted it to their new site.
In addition to that, we also started adding pages and content to support the new services…and this is where our company is able to shine!
Keyword Research Begins…
We almost always start our SEO strategies by doing keyword research, and that’s exactly what we did for this client.
Though we might get thousands of keywords to work with during the keyword research phase, we certainly can’t and don’t use all of them when we begin the process. Instead, we choose specific keywords based on factors such as volume, keyword difficulty, and intent.
From an SEO perspective, though you WANT to use those popular, high-volume keywords, it’s very tough, and it can take years, sometimes, to rank for those. For example, if you own a small retail clothing store, ranking for the keyword “women’s clothes” probably isn’t going to happen.
However, we can find related keywords, which is what we did in this case, and this is where the magic began.
We Began the Process of Creating SEO Content
In this case, we chose keywords that were lower in keyword density but higher in volume. This is always an SEO best practice. In the process of this, though, we find other keywords that we can use.
It’s our policy to use just 1 primary keyword to focus on per page, and a handful of secondary keywords, but that small amount of keywords can actually get a page ranking for 100s of other keywords…and that’s what happened here.
Adding the Keyword Variants
Since we also use secondary keywords and keyword variants, sometimes, we are able to get a page to start ranking with those before we get the primary keyword ranking on SERPs.
Generally, the primary keyword is more difficult to rank for, and since this was a new site, we certainly informed the client that it could be weeks or even months before any of the keywords hit the top 50…not to mention being in the top 10.
Hurry Up and Write…then Wait
Most of the time our clients want a quick turnover as that allows them to get their content on SERPs as quickly as possible. Once we write the content, the next step is to get it on the website, get that page indexed, and then….we wait to see what it’s going to do.
In this case, we published the page on December 1st, 2024, and requested indexing. It was indexed by Google almost immediately, and by December 4th, the page was ranking in the top 20.
SEO is a Long-Term Strategy
In general, SEO is a long-term strategy. The Google algorithm changes hundreds of times a year, and some of those changes can definitely affect a website. However, it’s a guessing game for SEO professionals like our team, because Google doesn’t necessarily reveal what changed or how to keep a website ranking.
Because of this, we have to monitor performance fairly often, especially when we first start a campaign. In most cases, we check daily to see which keywords have entered the top 100. Once it is solidly ranked, we check every couple of weeks unless there is a large decrease in traffic or a major algorithm change.
We Check More Often at the Start
When we first begin an SEO campaign, we check keywords more often…typically daily…and that’s when we saw this amazing thing that happened for our client.
On December 4th, the keyword was in the top 20, and by December 5th, it was in the top 10, settled into the 9th position!
